8 of the Best Marriott Stays You Can Book for Around 100k Points

From a private island in the Maldives to a boutique hotel in Paris, a longtime Marriott loyalist shares where she'd spend her points in a heartbeat.
Updated June 22, 2026

I've been a proud Marriott member since I was old enough to book my own hotels. To me, Marriott provides something dependable when I travel. I know booking, check-in, and any issues that may crop up will be handled well, and the quality of the Marriott brand has always been high.

Which is why I use Marriott whenever my family and I travel. And over time, that translates to major earned points that I can redeem on a future stay.

I'm currently saving up my points to take my recent high school graduate on a fun trip away, so in the spirit of adventure, and as part of my own research, here are some of the coolest places you can stay for just about free (plus any fees and tax) if you have 100,000 points, which is usually enough for one to three nights, depending on the property.

Just note the actual points needed will vary based on the time of year you're booking and the days of the week you plan to travel. The points values listed below were found during off-peak and midweek periods, and are subject to change at any time.

What You Need to Know About the Marriott Bonvoy Program

First off, let's do a brief overview of how the Marriott Bonvoy program works.

Martina Li, a travel advisor from Shanghai who holds Marriott's highest loyalty tier, Ambassador Elite status, and Lifetime Silver Elite status, explains that Marriott points are simply loyalty points earned by booking Marriott stays. Once you're enrolled in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, which is free to join, every stay you book and pay for earns points that may be redeemed toward a future stay.

Marriott points can be redeemed for free hotel stays, room upgrades, and other travel-related experiences. According to Li, the value of the points varies depending on where and when you redeem them, but on average, they are considered to be worth around $0.70 to $0.80 per point. "We’ve used Marriott benefits and points extensively to support our travels and reduce accommodation costs during longer trips," she says.

And while you can trade in Marriott points for things like dining, airline miles, travel experiences, and occasionally Marriott Bonvoy Moments events, Li adds that for her, the "biggest advantage" of using points is "definitely free stays, especially at high-end properties that would normally be extremely expensive."

Hawaii is on everyone's travel list, which is why my jaw quite literally dropped when I saw you can book a one-night stay at Marriott's Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa for a very reasonable starting price of 58,000 points. Available at this rate for several months of the year, this resort has sweeping beach views (though it is technically located across the road from the sand) and a prime address in Honolulu. Amenities include a rooftop dining area, nightly hula and Polynesian shows, and cultural experiences.

The rooms at Waikiki Beach resort will also place you right at home in Hawaii, with indoor-outdoor suites designed in the theme of Queen Lili‘uokalani’s historic summer homes. That means shiplap, walls of windows, and lanai doors that let in all that glorious sunshine. Oh, and of course, balconies to take in the views.

San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino: 65,000 Points

A trip to Puerto Rico means experiencing a true blend of old and new, with historic colonial architecture and attractions in San Juan, nightlife, and rich natural scenery, including tropical rainforests, beaches, and visitor-friendly caves.

You’ll find a centrally-located base at San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, which faces popular Condado Beach and close to Old San Juan, for easy sightseeing or a night out. There are 531 rooms in the hotel, including standard accommodations and suites with private balconies and views of the beach or San Juan's vibrant downtown. Rooms include plush beds and bathrobes for comfort, as well as international cable for in-room entertainment.

Staying here comes with access to two gorgeous pools, including one for families with a waterslide, a wellness center, a casino, direct beach access, and multiple dining options. Choose from the resort's on-site full-scale restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the lounge for craft cocktails and eats, and the stone pizza restaurant, sushi restaurant, bar, cafe and pastry shop, pool bar, or a la carte eatery.

Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes: 42,000 points

The Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes is where I’d gladly take my teen daughters and mom because it checks all of our vacation necessities: private beach, incredible pools, including two outdoor and one indoor option, on-site spa, and plenty of nighttime strolling at the nearby Myrtle Beach boardwalk.

The atmosphere of the Beach Resort is relaxed luxury, with 405 guest rooms that welcome multiple travelers, making it ideal for multi-generation or group trips. Rooms range from standard king and queen one- and two-bed rooms, with oceanfront balcony options available, to junior or six two-bedroom suites. Amenities include fun features like a poolside mega chess board, a waterslide, open-air dining, private pool or beach cabanas, and in-room bathrobes to relax in.

Marriott Barony Hilton Head Beach Club: 152,000 Points

Dates with point redemptions are extremely limited for Marriott Barony Hilton Head Beach Club, but it’s not impossible. If your travel dates are flexible, and you’re able to nab one (I found one spot available for a New Year's 2027 stay!), it would be worth it. My sister got married in Hilton Head, and we had the chance to stroll by this property, and it's a dream.

The beach here is something that's hard to comprehend. It's so vast and white and warm, with plenty of protected sea turtle nests just waiting to hatch. The hotel itself is also a draw, with an on-site spa and an indoor and outdoor pool, but the real magic is outside exploring Hilton Head. The two-bedroom villas are laid-back and beachy, much like Hilton Head itself, but provide oceanside dining with fully-equipped kitchens and private beach access.

Only hotel guests and those with oceanside homes have access to this particular stretch of beach, so it is very secluded and private. The Beach Club encourages travelers to think of the villas as a relaxing home base while exploring the island, with amenities focused on relaxing and refreshing, like an on-site spa, fitness center, outdoor cabanas, and recommendations for nearby Hilton Head attractions.

The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort: 112,000 Points

The overwater bungalows of the Maldives are certainly on my travel dream list, and after seeing what they look like at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, I think I have found my destination. I found one-night stays during the summer and early fall for as low as 112,000 points, which is hard to believe, considering the resort is a literal private island located in paradise.

There are 44 over-water villas where crystal blue waters await right outside your door and butlers are available at your beck and call to curate a pampering stay. The hotel also boasts a spa, a private lagoon, and seven on-site restaurants and bars. Plus, if you're a water lover, the resort is a haven for immersive activities, from diving to parasailing, swimming, and dolphin encounters. While the villas range in amenities (the highest level accommodates 12 people and includes a private cinema, gym, and 92-square-meter private pool), all feature luxury details like a private terrace, rainforest showers, and pillowtop beds.

Sheraton Samui Thailand Resort: 107,000 Points

Points stretch far in Thailand, especially at the Sheraton Samui Thailand Resort, where a three-night stay in January 2027 asks only 107,000 points. Other dates are widely available too at this family-friendly beachfront hotel on the island of Ko Samui, where guest rooms come with balconies for savoring dramatic ocean views. There is also a garden and oceanside freeform pool with a kids area, complimentary kayaking, a private beach, and a full kids' club.

Also enjoy the Balinese-inspired spa, activities like beach yoga and tennis, and multiple dining options serving Thai specialties. Adding convenience, the resort is close to the airport, making travel in and out a cinch.

JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa: 104,000 Points

Another standout pick in Thailand, a three-night stay at this luxury resort on the island of Phuket at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa costs the same as a one-night luxury stay elsewhere. There are 262 rooms, and standard point redemptions place you in a deluxe garden room with a full balcony and view of the gardens outside.

The rooms feature marble bathrooms, tropical tile floors, aromatherapy toiletries, 24/7 room service, and comfort touches like premium Thai silk bedding, in-room bathrobes, and slippers.

The Phuket Resort and Spa guest rooms and suites all have different themes and levels of luxury. For instance, there are private poolside retreats, oceanside accommodations, jacuzzi suites, and garden view rooms. Plus, the elevated beach resort also has a spa, fitness center, three pools, and nine restaurants and bars.

Renaissance Paris Republique Hotel: 58,000 Points

Paris hotels are notoriously expensive, but the Renaissance Paris Republique Hotel has availability in January 2027 for as low as 58,000 points for a one-night trip.

That means you could nab two nights for just over 100,000 points and stay in a prime location near Le Marais, which is one of Paris's most famous art and fashion districts. The central location is a major reason to stay here, but so are the amenities such as an on-site gym and spa. Art is an integral part of the boutique hotel, with rooms designed to reflect art from the 1950s and 60s. The 121 rooms of the hotel are decorated with studio inspiration, drawing from the work of Godard, Pierre Guariche, and architect Didier Gomez. You can choose the room that best fits your Paris dream trip, from a classic or family room, one with a balcony (a bit of a Paris must-have, no?), or even a penthouse suite with a private terrace and jacuzzi.

The Shortcut

  • 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points is typically enough for one to three nights, depending on the property and timing. Off-peak and midweek dates stretch furthest.

  • The best redemption value is almost always free nights at high-end properties, not dining or airline miles.

  • Thailand is where points go furthest on this list: three nights at either the Sheraton Samui or JW Marriott Phuket for roughly 100,000 points each.
